From May 8th until May 10th it is time for a fantastic event for cycling enthusiasts. Giro d’Italia Grande Partenza is coming to Belfast, and there will be three routes available; Belfast, Armagh and Dublin.
More than 200 bicyclists will come to participate in this event from all across the world, and the schedule for the event is the following.
Thursday 8 May
Pre-race events, team presentation, showcase event at Belfast City Hall (free admission, ticketing details to follow)
Friday 9 May
Stage One – Start Titanic Quarter, finish Belfast City Hall
Saturday 10 May
Stage Two – Start Titanic Quarter, finish North Queen Street, Belfast
Sunday 11 May
Stage Three – Start The Mall, Armagh, finish Dublin city centre
Stage One of the Giro D’Italia in Northern Ireland is a team time trial (21.7km) through Belfast, taking the following route:

Together with the Robbie Williams concerts in June 2014, the Katy Perry concerts might be considered the highlight of the year in the music industry in Northern Ireland and in Belfast.
Katy Perry will be at “The Brit Awards” in the O2 Arena in London on February 19th, and the next time she shows up for a big event will be in Belfast in May. On May 7th and on May 8th she will be the hotshot in town as she steps up in the Odyssey Arena to impress, amaze and let her fans sing all her favorite songs together with her.

One of the highlights in Belfast in 2014 will be the arrival of Miley Cyrus who will come to the city for a concert on May 19th. The Miley Cyrus event will be a part of her so called Bangerz tour, and she will visit lots of cities all across Europe during her tour.

The highlight of the year in Belfast will probably be the two Robbie Williams concerts arranged in the Odyssey Arena in June 2014.
