cs lewisIt will be the second time the CS Lewis Festival will open its gates again in Belfast. CS Lewis was born in Belfast in 1898 and he is one of the most famous and well known writer in the English literature.

He is one of the most influential authors in the world and he is one of the most important writers of the 20th century. CS Lewis is best known for his Chronics of Narnia in the English language. This year at the festival the second time visitors will have the chance to discover more on the life and works of CS Lewis. During the festival there will be a wide range of programs for the visitors. The festival will take place in Belfast based in the east side of the city where CS Lewis spent most of his childhood. During the festival there will be plenty of outdoors activities and family events such as film screenings, art exhibitions, tours, workshops and readings. The CS Lewis Festival will be held from Thursday 20th November 2014 until Saturday 23rd November 2014 in Belfast.

Every year the restaurant week attracts a lot of people to join this fun and unique event to try the best restaurants the city has. It is the perfect time to try all the traditional cuisine of Northern Ireland and the best time of the year to get to know the best local places and restaurants during the Belfast Restaurant Week. It has been the third year since the first restaurant week was held the first time. During the one week long event the restaurants will serve a selection of special dishes and there will be foodie events through the whole week as well such as Ready, Steady Cook for Kids, Bakery Competition or St. George’s Market Demonstrations. During the Belfast Restaurant Week there will be a wide range of restaurants from the European to the best Asian cuisine to try out.

The Belfast Restaurant Week will be held 4th October until 11th October 2014. The one week long event will be in different restaurants in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Speed festival in Belfast

On August 30th and 31st there will be the so called Festival of Speed in Belfast.

The Festival of Speed will be arranged in the Balmoral Park and it will be a noisy happening, as you will be able to listen to lots of motors and heavy machinery. In addition there will be possibilities of auto testing, testing segways and live music from the stage.

Dolly Parton Belfast concert 2014

Just a few days before the highlight of the year in Belfast, the Robbie Williams concerts, Dolly Parton will come to town to warm up the crowds.

The Dolly Parton concert in Belfast will be arranged on June the 10th, only three days before the first of the Robbie Williams concert. Giro d’Italia Grande Partenza in Belfast

From May 8th until May 10th it is time for a fantastic event for cycling enthusiasts. Giro d’Italia Grande Partenza is coming to Belfast, and there will be three routes available; Belfast, Armagh and Dublin.

More than 200 bicyclists will come to participate in this event from all across the world, and the schedule for the event is the following.
