The Yardbirds, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and The Dominoes. What is the similarity between these world famous band names? The answer is almost shut: Eric Clapton.
Who is he? The bad guy of high school, the only three-time inductee musician to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame , the „slowhand” guitarist. An English gentleman, who doesn’t care the age, and starts a world wide concert tour, to show the world, what is the spirit of 60s.
Eric Clapton is on the musical orbit a long time ago. He was born in The Great Britain, in 1945. His life isn’t average from the start. His mother has given his life when she was only 16, and he have never known his father, who has left him before Eric’s birth. He believed, his grandparents are his parents, and his mother is his sister. He was nine years old, when his real mother got married and moved to Canada. Clapton found out the truth at this time about his birth. These things had very big influence to Eric’s whole life.
He was 13 years old, when he got his first acoustic guitar. After that he was concerned seriously with blues. He played in the Yardbirds between 1963 and 1965, in the John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers between 1965 and 1966, and he has started play in the Cream in 1966, but unfortunately, the band has broke up in 1968. Clapton played in countless bands before his solo career. He is one of the best guitar player nowadays too. Most of the present bands just can’t fight against his music.
For those, who curious to the most famous Clapton songs, like „Layla” or „Cocaine” live, well, it’s time to do it, for example in the first stop of the Eric Clapton’s world wide concert tour, in Belfast, United Kingdom.
